If you have been wondering which of the 33 boroughs of London is the best, there is little doubt in our minds that you could have one answer to the question, we could have another, and every person on the street can offer their own specific opinion. Objectively speaking, however, the London Borough of Newham, home to some of the fastest growing and desirable residential areas in the capital at this moment, ranks high on any list that you can find. What makes Newham so great and why the demand for high-end removals in Upton Park E6, E13– among other districts – has risen so dramatically in recent years?

Location, location, location
Newham is situated at a comfortable distance from the City of London – 8 miles to the east of Charing Cross. It lies to the north of the River Thames, which makes it part of North London – historically and traditionally the better developed and more upscale half of the capital. Even though the territories to the east of the City had been for a long time industrialised and more working-class than the artistic and aristocratic west, recent decades have marked the emergence of many fine upscale neighbourhoods that people from all walks of life prefer – look at the stats concerning professional moving services in Plaistow E13, for example, and you will see what we are talking about.

Sports and their impact on the borough
One of the most important and famous football clubs in England today, West Ham United hails from Newham. While it is not currently based in the eponymous district but rather in Stratford, where The London Stadium, West Ham’s home ground is – West Ham United places a very important role in the history and culture of Newham. By the way, both districts are among the top residential areas in the borough and finding cheap removals in West Ham E13, E16 and certified removal services in Stratford E15 needs to be done well in advance due to the high demand on the local market.
Since we have already mentioned the London Stadium, we should note that the borough played host to the 2012 Olympics. In reality, the majority of the Olympic Park was within the territory of Newham. This is why the area went through a series of regeneration projects, improvements and brand new developments which put it in the position it currently is in. Other interesting sports facts about the London Borough of Newham include:
- The London Regatta Centre, a major body promoting water sports in the capital is based here; and so are:

A great place for shopping
Newham is continuously and deservingly voted among the top shopping areas in East London. No matter whether you choose to live somewhere near the heart of the borough like the district of Stratford or you would prefer a more peaceful and quiet area (booking swift removals in North Woolwich E16 might come in handy in such a case), you are going to be able to enjoy quick and easy access to a wealth of shopping options.
The Queen’s Market is one of those places. Located just off Green Street, it is among the oldest and most celebrated street markets in these parts of the capital. The recent controversial plans for its redevelopment caused an uproar in the public, which only demonstrated how strong the local community in Newham truly is. The Gallions Reach Shopping Park is another major shopping development that you may have the chance to enjoy should you decide to come live in Newham. The aforementioned Green Street is home to a number of shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants that will be more than enough for you to spend an enjoyable day shopping in its vicinity. If you are more into the shopping mall experience, you have two viable options in Newham that are not going to let you down. Those are of course the Stratford Centre and the Westfield Shopping Centre, again to be found in the area of Stratford. The latter is officially the largest Westfield Shopping Centre currently in existence on the territory of Europe.
